How was the data sourced?

All AP WBB Poll data was assembled via cross-referencing the NCAA Record Book, newspaper clippings, and (with great appreciation) via first-hand data from the poll's originator, Mel Greenberg.

How are poll-to-poll rises/falls calculated?

For the purposes of calculating changes from one poll to another, a team that is unranked is considered to be ranked one outside the typical poll size. From the 1976-1977 season through the 1988-1989 season, the poll was a Top 20. It has been a Top 25 since.
